Connections: While the word connections might make us think of technology and airport layovers in today’s fast-paced world, we hope that Laurel will also inspire the personal connections that bond families and friends. Parks, sidewalks, paseos and courtyards have all been designed for the chance meeting of neighbors sharing the day’s news or an impromptu play date with the kids.

Wellness: At Laurel, you’ll find wellness promoted not just in body, but in spirit, as well. An on-site, local farm will provide morning-picked produce. A recreation center and shaded walkways will inspire you to raise your heart rate. Courtyard fountains will invite you to sit a while with the morning paper and let the glittering Arizona sun warm your face.

Sustainability: Certainly, the idea of home has its roots in the land. So being good stewards of the land we live on only seems like the right thing to do. We’ve planned Laurel with attention to protecting agricultural lands, conserving water and reducing energy consumption. But you’ll also find great care went into making Laurel sustainable in the social sense, as well. Because people in all stages of life will find Laurel special, it will have lasting value for generations.

Authenticity: Before you can feel at home in a new community, we believe a community should be at home in its surroundings. We’ve studied the architecture and plant life of the American Southwest, Mexico and Yuma’s own historic downtown neighborhoods to design streets, homes, civic buildings and landscapes that are an authentic reflection of the area.
